This short course taught by Master Beekeeper Ward Hicks will teach you how to manage your own honey bees for your own benefit. This one-day course will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 24. The same course will be offered again on Saturday, March 10. Both classes will be in Rexburg, Idaho and each class will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Participants can register for either course.
Cost: $65 per person
This includes lunch, course materials, hand-outs, catalogs, new hive tool and 166-page full-color edition of "First lessons in Beekeeping."
Topics will include tips for getting started, basic tools and equipment as well as proper management techniques for successful honey production and pollination.
Students with little or no experience in beekeeping will gain valuable information on how to be a productive beekeeper. This class is designed to coach beginners who are planning to start their own hives this spring and teach others who simply want to discover the fascinating craft of beekeeping.

Ward Hicks has kept bees for nearly 40 years. He has a Master Beekeeping certificate from the University of Montana and manages several hives in the Rexburg, Idaho area. He is also a professor at BYU-Idaho.
